  1. Excellent question. I have been playing an SNES game called X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse from Capcom. This game has graphics on par with Neo Geo hardware. While it's a little stiff by way of controls, it' still a lot of fun to play, and has the good characters in it from the 90s animated series. X-Men and Spider Man games on the Genesis could also do well with an HD remake.

Now, I'm sure a lot of NES purists will flame me to no end for this, but I liked Mega Man X and X2 better than the NES titles. They could use a high quality HD remake. Ever hear a heavy metal remix of Spark Mandrill's stage theme? It will blow your mind.

  2. I would have to get behind Bomberman for the multiplayer aspect. Sure there probably has been a Bomberman game recently, i.e this console generation, but not one that did it like I would like to see.

Bomberman is a multiplayer title at heart. That doesn't leave much for the single player fan though. I would like to see Bomberman incorporate it's bastard child, Robo Warrior into the game as the single player campaign (RW is a part of the Bomberman world in Japan and was published by Hudson there- Jaleco on the NES in the USA).

Barring that, I would love to see some 2.5D (think Clockwork Knight or Sonic 4 Episode 1 and 2) platformers based on Disney movies. Capcom and Sega used to go head, seemingly, to head with releases back in the day. Sega had Aladdin and Capcom had a version all their own, same for Mickey Mouse and some others. Good times.

If we can get a convoluted licensing-wise mess like the TMNT arcade game released, surely someone can get some Disney platformers in HD.
