  1. I figure I'd leave a comment so you realize at least someone is still listening! What games are you guys really looking forward to in 2013? Aside from Starcraft II: Heart of the Swarm, I have no solid purchases planned for the entire year.

My votes for games of the year:
Indie Game: Hero Academy (It's a great and free turn-based strategy)

AAA Game: Mass Effect 3 (maybe I think so highly of it because I didn't finish single player before the extended cut, but regardless of thoughts on the ending, the gameplay was smooth)

    Soundtrack: Guild Wars 2

Old Game: Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty (I got to play a game against one of my e-sports idols, and that was an incredible experience)

Surprise: For positive, Mists of Pandaria (I thought I knew what to expect with three expansions already, but they really did this one well)
For negative, Diablo III (I expected this game to be really good, but I just never got the multiplayer experience that I really wanted)

Multiplayer Game: Mass Effect 3 (The co-op is incredibly fun and still enjoyable nine months later)

Game I Wish I Played: Dishonored (would've played if the camera didn't make me nauseous)

Overall Game of the Year: Mass Effect 3. Say what you will about the ending, the game had an incredible emotional investment, excellent gameplay mechanics, an awesome multiplayer experience, and steered the story back on track from the ME2 derailment.
