This week Dustin got to see his old friends and Scott has his Wii U hard drive fail. We both agree that ordering retro games from Japan feels like magic. We also talk about the new Friday the 13th game, paid DLC for an Early Access game on Steam, the first batch of AVS units have arriving to the US, some odd things about the PlayStation Pro, Run the Jewels being in the Gears of War 4 trailer, Phil Fish coming back to game development, Great Battle Cyber and the movie Looper! It Looked Like Freedom - Episode 197

This week is the start of The Retro League tournament! This year is the "Best Games of 1991" so be sure to check out our deliberations at the end of the episode as we cast our official podcast vote. Scott is thrilled by a shout-out from Rally Point, an eSport podcast from The Bleacher Report, and Dustin talks about his Army buddies coming to Nashville for a reunion. The game trailer for Owlboy really impressed us and we also talk about Pewdiepie's twitter ban, the AVS NES clone from RetroUSB.com, Konmani said something about Metal Gear Solid V and some fantastic videos about No Man's Sky from Jim Sterling and Paul Taylor. Stale Hookah Flavor - Episode 196

This week Dustin is dealing with Murphy's Law at work while Scott is dangerously close to falling down the deep rabbit hole of collecting for the Famicom. We chat about ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove is coming in 2017 and being published by Adult Swim, PlayStaion Now coming to PC, The Legend of Zelda Art & Artifacts book, Giant Bomb Game Academy and a hololens emulator for the NES exists. Dustin played some Sonic 3 and Super Mario 3D World with his son and Scott is enjoying Uncharted 4 quite a bit.

I Hate Poop - Episode 195

This week was light on news but heavy on laughs so it turned into a longer one than we expected. Despite it being a long episode we promise it's worth listening to the end! No Man's Sky is shredded on a long reddit post outlining missing features promised throughout development, Nordic games rebranding as THQNordic, Metal Gear Survive Trailer is well received, AVGN is back with a Beavis and Butthead episode and GoldenEye: Source is very cool. Scott is becoming a true Castlevania fan and Dustin gets a lesser-known but very cool Genesis. Enjoy!

Wreck The Mind's Eye - Episode 194

The week starts off with Scott making an impulse pre-order for a NES clone and ends with Dustin realizing the foam in his Snatcher case is worth more than most other games. No Man's Sky is finally released, Nintendo (fairly, but unsurprisingly) shut down both Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R) and the Nintendo Power archive project at Archive.org. Plus, thanks to Duhmez we have a nice chat about the difference between Castlevania on the NES and MSX. Enjoy!

John Wick of Video Games - Episode 193

It was a light week of news and gaming for Dustin and Scott so thanks to Emails, YouTube comments and Twitch chat it was still a fun episode. The first 13 years of Nintendo Power has appeared on Archive.org, Blizzard was hit with DDoS attacks possibly as backlash for their latest sweep of bans for cheaters, a man paid $1,300 for a leaked copy of No Man Sky and we can't understand why, a Vita exploit was finally found and more! Make A Vet Sweat - Episode 190

This week we chat about the Pokemon GO craze, Overwatch's new character named Ana, Valve's response to the GS:GO gambling scandal, Evolve going free to play, Sega Saturn's DRM looks to be cracked after 20 years and the fastest tool assisted play through of Super Mario 3 ever.
